The Industrial Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing and optimizing operational processes to improve efficiency, quality, safety and cost-effectiveness. This role works cross-functionally with operations, maintenance and quality teams to identify process improvements, implement best practices, and ensure continuous improvement across all areas of operations.

· Conduct time and motion studies to optimize efficiency.
· Map and evaluate current workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
· Design and implement standardized procedures across terminals and branches to improve consistency and performance.
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
· Collaborate closely with operations teams, maintenance, safety, and IT teams to enhance process performance and apply new methods to ensure their effectiveness system integration.
· Use data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on process efficiency, on-time performance, and resource utilization.
· Support implementation of new technologies, automation tools, and process innovations.
· Conduct time and motion studies to identify labor and Equipment productivity improvements.
· Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
· Analyze, Evaluate and improve transportation and logistics processes including route planning, freight handling, and equipment utilization.
· Provide training, documentation, and change management support to ensure successful process adoption.
· Recommend new equipment for sorting to improve operational efficiency
· Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that operation standards are met
· Write and maintain technical documentation for processes
· Work closely with the project management team, including planning, execution and results tracking
· Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Transportation Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
· 1–3 years of experience in process engineering, operations analysis, or continuous improvement — ideally within the transportation, logistics, or distribution industry.
· Understanding of transportation operations.
· Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and KPI development.
· Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt certification considered an asset).
· Skilled in using Excel, Click sense (BI), or other data visualization and reporting tools.
